A US community of nearly 350 philanthropists known as ‘Women Moving Millions’ committed to mobilizing resources for gender equity, hosted their 9th Summit event ‘The Power of Us.’ Based on recent data showcasing the impact of COVID on women and girls, the group has launched a new $100 million campaign for gender equity.
  2. New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern was re-elected over the weekend, in a landslide event. Ardern’s Labour Party won nearly half the country’s votes in comparison to less than 30% for the rival National Party.
  3. Jayne Hrdlicka, the former CEO of A2 milk and Jetstar, will take the helm as the new CEO of Virgin Australia in November. The challenges facing Virgin Australia will be numerous considering the hit to tourism from COVID-19.
