  2. Democratic congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez drew over 700,000 viewers to watch her play popular video game ‘Among Us’ on Twitch, in a very novel way of drumming up votes.
  3. CEO of Australia Post, Christina Holgate, is under fire for awarding senior executives Cartier watches after securing a deal with Commonwealth Bank, Westpac and NAB. The purchase occurred in 2018 and despite being a government-business enterprise, Australia Post is “self-funded” and according to then chair John Stanhope, the purchase did not “involve taxpayer funds.”
  4. Developer and fund manager Mirvac, led by Susan Lloyd-Hurwitz, has experienced a 40% lift in sales in the first quarter of this year. The lift is attributed to the government stimulus measure, specifically HomeBuilder grants.
  5. Queensland’s political opponents Labor Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk and Opposition Leader Deb Frecklington have confirmed two debates will take place ahead of the October 31st election. The first will occur on October 28th and the second will be on October 30th.
