1. NSW Premier Glayds Berejiklian has announced the border between Victoria and NSW will be opened from November 23.

2. Polina V. Lishko, a cellular and developmental biologist at UC Berkeley, was named a MacArthur fellow for her work in reproductive biology. Lishko will receive $625, 000 in funding for work that could assist in new, non-hormonal forms of contraception.

3. Despite British Royal family protocol, Meghan Markle has voted in the ongoing US election. In August, the Duchess of Sussex produced a video in collaboration with Gloria Steinem on the importance of feminism and voting.

4. Meditation app company Headspace has appointed its first female CEO in CeCe Morken. CeCe previously worked at Intuit before starting as Headspace’s President and COO in April. The app has seen its downloads double in the last seven months, as the pandemic heightened the needs for consistent mental health care.

5. Northern Territoty utility company, Power and Water, has appointed Djuna Pollard as its CEO. Ms Pollard seeks to “enrich the future of the Northern Territory,” by “supporting economically sustainable growth and prosperity.”
