1. In the UK, tens of thousands of elderly women are potentially owed an estimated £100 million in state pensions after an error from the Department of Work and Pensions was uncovered.

2. A UBS report ‘Own Your Worth’ from July 2020 has found that joint financial participation is the key to gender equality, with still an estimated 49% of women deferring financial decisions to their spouses.

3. Black Women in Asset Management (BWAM), a group of around 300 industry professionals from across England and Wales, has released an open letter to the investment industry, urging the development of ‘anti-racist’ portfolios and increased employment pipelines for diversity.

The 26th Melbourne Fashion Week is going ahead today with the support of Lord Mayor Sally Capp. “We’re very determined to ensure the pandemic doesn’t defeat us,” Capp said, after COVID lockdown restrictions were only lifted three weeks ago.
