U.S. Postal Service to issue a stamp commemorating Chien-Shiung Wu

On the 11th of February, the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, the U.S. Postal Service will issue a stamp commemorating Chien-Shiung Wu, who passed away in 1997 after never receiving a Nobel Prize for her demonstration of the effect called parity violation. As one of the many women unfairly overlooked by the Nobel Committee, she’s now being honoured alongside Einstein, Fermi, Feynman.
