1. Melanie Evans has been appointed the new CEO of ING Bank Australia, after being promoted from her previous role as Head of Retail Bank.

2. After an ongoing legal battle, LVMH has agreed to buy Tiffany & Co for an estimated US$15.8 billion, which is US$425 million less than the previously agreed upon amount, prior to COVID. LVMH originally claimed that the Tiffany business was no longer the business it agreed to purchase last November before the pandemic struck.

3. The Nasdaq has appointed Ann Dennison as its new Chief Accounting Offer, beginning next March. This appointment will make Nasdaq only the fifth S&P 500 company to have women fulfilling either the CFO or CEO roles.

4. The females featured in the Australian Financial Review’s Young Rich List this year includes Canva founder Melanie Perkins, serial entrepreneur Cyan Ta’eed, workout guru Kayla Itsines and skincare founder Miranda Kerr.

5. The Reserve Bank of Australia has released the new revamped $100 note, which includes the depictions of Sir John Monash And Dame Nellie Melba. The note also featured the Australian Masked Owl, whose wings change colour when you tilt the note. The new range of notes includes added security features to deter counterfeiting.
