1. The Nobel Prize for Chemistry 2020 has been awarded to Jennifer A. Doudna & Emmanuelle Charpentier, for the development of Crispr, a gene-editing tool that has the ability to change the DNA of plants, animals and other organisms. The Nobel Prize for Literature has been awarded to Louise Glück, American essayist & poet.

2. The National Gallery of Victoria has announced a free admittance for the Triennial exhibition this year – showcasing some of the biggest artists and designers from around the world from December 19 – April 18.

3. The Australian Government is proposing a move to a more digital process for investors, using the tax file numbers as the main identifier to streamline all uses.

5. The ‘Women In the Workplace’ report, produced by Sheryl Sandberg’s Lean In Foundation & McKinsey, has shown that in the US within September alone, around 865,000 women over the age of 20 dropped out of the workforce, while only 216,000 men departed the workforce.
